Lake Products Company LLC was formed in 1949 by Edward Ross who was a pharmaceutical chemist and he developed the chemical structure for "Sea Salt" ASTM D1141-98 (Original Standard ASTM D1141-52). We specialize in the manufacturing and marketing of our laboratory testing chemical "Sea Salt" ASTM D1141-98. We market our products internationally to companies, corporations, governments and universities who are engaged in corrosion testing, oceanographic research, and ocean instrument calibration. This product is used as an artificial seawater in field and laboratory research testing. In addition, there are many other uses and applications for this product including biological and chemical processing. We also manufacture our "Artificial Seawater" ASTM D1141-98 product which is shipped ready-made for use and application.

Lake Products Company LLC provides "Sodium Chloride" ASTM E534-13 which meets the standard test methods for the analysis of sodium chloride. This product is a lab grade sodium chloride with a minimum purity of 99.95%. It is manufactured by vacuum evaporation of chemically purified brine obtained from underground deposits by deep well mining solutions.
